Nina Celeste Bedinger was the daughter of Singleton Berry Bedinger Sr. and Nina John Terrell, born Dec. 19, 1909 in Fort Worth, Texas, she married James Edward Askew in 1931. She was the great granddaughter of Robert Adams Terrell, the founder of Terrell, Texas and the great-great-great granddaughter of Samuel Washington, brother of George Washington. She was a talented artist and practiced commercial art and advertisement for large firms in Dallas, Texas. She was a devoted teacher and an advocate for many aspiring commercial artists. She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church and a member of the Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church in Forney, Texas.
